Job summary

Wingfin is seeking an entry-level Machine Learning Engineer in Singapore or Malaysia to join our autonomous driving team. You will prepare, process and validate data for ML training, with opportunities to contribute to model development and experimentation.

Ideal candidates have a strong academic foundation in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering, and a hands-on approach to ML with knowledge of Python and modern AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
• Some practical experience with machine learning (academic or project work).
• Use of modern AI tools is a requirement (coding, debugging, data analysis).
• Comfortable programming in Python.
• Good understanding of ML concepts (training/validation, loss, overfitting).
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Willingness to work directly with data.
• Excellent attention to detail; careful with timestamps and labels.
• Able to investigate problems systematically and independently.
• Strong preference for hands-on experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process large autonomous-driving datasets for ML training.
• Build pipelines to extract, clean, label and organise sensor data.
• Inspect datasets for errors and data-quality problems.
• Develop tools to identify useful driving scenarios and training examples.
• Validate datasets before entering model-training pipelines.
• Run ML experiments and analyse results.
• Collaborate with engineers developing perception, planning and control models.
• Help improve training and evaluation infrastructure as datasets grow.
• Investigate failures by tracing through models, code and data.
