Job description

[This role is for Reactor School, one of the portfolio companies under Reapra.]

Reactor School (www.reactor.school) designs Entrepreneurship Education (EntreEd) programmes for students and young founders under-30. We work with high schools and universities to help educators implement EntreEd on campus. We help students turn their ideas into projects, and their projects into companies. We believe that the world's biggest problem is that there are not enough young people solving the world's biggest problems. Our mission is to Cultivate the Galaxy's Best Young Founders.

Reactor currently works with 300+ high schools and universities across the Asia-Pacific region. We partner with angel networks and early-stage VCs to invest in the student-led startups that graduate from our programmes, with an average ticket size of SGD $100k per student startup team.

Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience working with student-led and/or youth startups.
  • Proven experience as a programme coordinator, entrepreneurship trainer, incubation manager or relevant experience.
  • Have deep connections in the tech and startup ecosystem.
  • Be conscientious, detail-oriented and efficient.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including in the preparation of slide decks and proposals.
  • Excellent time-management and organizing skills. Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently, including projects across different cities and timezones.
  • Able to work as a digital nomad, and have prior experience working with an international and multi-cultural team.
  • Grades, academics and class of honours aren't important to us. But your portfolio of past projects is.
Selection Process & Criteria
  • Demonstrate the 5 Reactor Core Values: #PeopleFirst, #MoveFast, #BeBold, #HaveFun, and #BeAwesome. This is a deal-breaker; we hire based on Values, Attitudes and Skills, in that particular order. We believe that with the right values and attitudes, skills can be picked-up over time. Study the Reactor Culture Deck here.
  • Have the right attitude: Be a 1st Principles Thinker, demonstrate a Growth Mindset, be able to practise Radical Candor, and be Relentlessly Resourceful. (If you haven't heard of Carol Dweck, Kim Scott or Paul Graham, we would strongly encourage you to Google them up before hitting ‘Apply'.)
  • Have the right skills: Be able to sell, consult and convince. Be strategic, and be able to identify win-win opportunities for all stakeholders.
  • Be an excellent communicator, and be someone that your fellow teammates can look-up to and respect at all times. Be warm, be humble, and be self-aware. We do not tolerate brilliant jerks here at Reactor.
  • Be familiar with the education sector, including how to market to educators and school leaders. Have a keen interest in entrepreneurship, startups, tech and/or venture capital.
Benefits
  • Infinite Leave - Your official vacation leave eligibility is fourteen (14) days for each calendar year, but we run the infinite leave system i.e. you are allowed (and encouraged) to take more than 14 days of leave each year.
  • Medical Leave
  • Study Leave
  • Transport Claim
  • Overseas Trip Claim
  • Event/Book/Training Claim
  • Work-from-Anywhere
