Job summary

HOYA is seeking a Data Governance Lead to define and drive the enterprise data-governance framework across divisions. You will own governance standards for data ownership, quality, master data, data products and lifecycle management, while guiding tool selection for MDM, data quality and data-product enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information management or related field.
• 6+ years in data governance with leadership experience.
• Strong English communication to diverse audiences.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data-governance principles, policies and standards.
• Establish the data-governance operating model with ownership and roles.
• Set standards for master data management including reference data and lifecycle controls.
• Lead tool selection for MDM, data quality, cataloguing and data-product management.
• Define enterprise data-quality standards with supporting policies.
• Govern data products including ownership, contracts and service expectations.
• Set standards for glossaries, lineage, retention and privacy across the org.
• Partner with architecture to embed governance controls into platforms.
• Develop governance metrics and dashboards tracking maturity and value.
• Lead reviews, close gaps, manage exceptions and remediation.
• Build data literacy and stewardship through guidance and playbooks.
• Coordinate with privacy, security, risk and audit to stay aligned.
