Qualifications

• Experience delivering data platform programmes including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Platform.

Role Overview

Synechron is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Delivery Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of a strategic data transformation programme centred on building enterprise data hubs on Databricks. The programme spans multiple markets ,including multiple countries in Asia and involves integrating data across diverse source systems within complex regulatory environments.

This role combines strong delivery leadership with a solid command of modern data platforms. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business, technology, data, and governance teams navigating multi-country regulatory requirements, internal control frameworks, and diverse stakeholder expectations to ensure programme success and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme & Project Delivery Leadership

Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data platform and data hub programmes across regions and workstreams. Own project scope, roadmap, budget, timelines, and quality outcomes. Manage dependencies across data ingestion, transformation, governance, and consumption layers, and drive successful implementation of Databricks-based modern data architecture.

Data Platform Delivery Oversight

Provide oversight of modern data stack delivery including Databricks, data lakes, medallion architecture, and ETL/ELT pipelines. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and platform teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions. Align business data requirements with technical implementation and ensure robust data models, data quality controls, and metadata governance.

Regulatory & Governance Management

Ensure compliance with financial services regulations across jurisdictions (MAS, FCA, FSA). Navigate internal governance frameworks spanning data governance, risk, audit, and security. Maintain programme documentation, audit trails, and change control, balancing delivery speed with control and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder & Cross-Regional Alignment

Serve as the primary interface across business stakeholders, country teams, technology functions, and central data offices. Manage expectations across geographies with differing priorities and regulatory constraints. Facilitate decision-making across senior stakeholders and governance forums, aligning global strategy with local market needs.

Vendor & Partner Management

Manage delivery across vendors and system integrators, including performance and contractual obligations. Ensure consistent delivery standards across internal and external teams and coordinate multi-party delivery models within large-scale banking programmes.

Agile & Hybrid Delivery Execution

Drive Agile or hybrid delivery models suited to enterprise banking environments. Balance iterative delivery with structured governance milestones. Establish clear delivery cadences, sprint outcomes, and programme milestones, and coach teams on effective delivery within regulated, multi-country contexts.

Executive Reporting & Risk Management

Prepare executive dashboards, programme updates, and steering committee materials. Proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies across workstreams. Escalate critical issues with clear mitigation strategies and enable data-driven decision-making for senior leadership.

Key Requirements(Must-Have)

• 5+ years of experience in programme or project delivery, with a strong focus on data, analytics, or platform transformation initiatives
• Proven track record delivering modern data platform programmes (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Platform)
• Strong understanding of data architecture concepts: data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and medallion architecture
• Experience working within financial services or banking environments, including regulatory and compliance exposure
• Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-country or regional programmes
• Proven ability to manage multi-vendor delivery models
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders and articulate programme value clearly
• Experience navigating internal governance, risk, audit, and regulatory frameworks
• Strong project management fundamentals: scope, budget, timelines, and risk management

• Hands-on exposure to Databricks platform and ecosystem
• Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview)
• Knowledge of banking regulations across APAC and EMEA
