Job summary

Global Bank is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead a Databricks platform migration in Singapore. You will own end-to-end architecture for migrating the legacy MDM onto Databricks, collaborating with enterprise architecture, data governance, security, and risk/compliance teams.

You will drive the architectural direction, defend design decisions to senior leadership, and lead platform engineering across multi-region deployments, ensuring scalable, compliant, and cost-conscious

Qualifications

• 15+ years in enterprise/solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience architecting Databricks platforms at scale.
• Experience migrating legacy MDM or data warehouse to modern cloud data platforms.
• Deep understanding of Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Workflows) and Lakehouse architecture principles.
• Experience working within banking or other highly regulated financial services environments.
• Strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance requirements in a global banking context.
• Excellent stakeholder communication - equally credible with engineers, architects, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the target-state Databricks architecture (Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake) as the replacement for the legacy MDM platform
• Define the migration strategy and roadmap - phasing, data lineage, parallel-run, and cutover approach for critical banking data domains
• Establish governance, security, and data quality frameworks that meet regulatory requirements for a global financial institution
• Act as the architectural bridge between engineering teams, enterprise architecture, risk/compliance, and business stakeholders
• Define standards for scalability, cost governance, and multi-region resilience across the platform
• Mentor and guide delivery teams through the migration, ensuring architectural decisions are implemented as designed

Are you an Enterprise Architect who's led large-scale data platform transformations inside a regulated financial institution?

We're looking for a Databricks Platform Architect to lead a legacy MDM-to-Databricks migration for a global bank in Singapore - one of the most significant data platform modernization programs in the region this year.

About the role

You'll own the end-to-end architecture for migrating a legacy Master Data Management (MDM) platform onto Databricks, working across enterprise architecture, data governance, security, and business stakeholder teams. This is a hands-on platform engineering & architectural role - you'll set the architectural direction, but you'll also be in the room defending design decisions to risk, compliance, and technology leadership and lead the databricks platform engineering architecture.

What you'll bring

• 15+ years in enterprise/solution architecture, with recent hands-on experience architecting Databricks platforms at scale
• Proven experience migrating legacy MDM or data warehouse platforms into modern cloud data platforms
• Deep understanding of Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Workflows) and Lakehouse architecture principles
• Experience working within banking or other highly regulated financial services environments
• Strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance requirements in a global banking context
• Excellent stakeholder communication - equally credible with engineers, architects, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with legacy MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM InfoSphere)
• Prior experience in multi-region, multi-workspace enterprise Databricks deployments
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) alongside Databricks certifications.
