Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the company's Network Security technology strategy and roadmap.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into architectural models and solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams on Network and Security solutions.

  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices and compliance standards.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations to drive innovation and adoption.

  • Conduct assessments of the existing network and security stack to identify areas for optimisation.

  • Support the development of data governance and information security policies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Project Delivery Experience Should Include:
  • Network Maintenance & Support: Perform routine maintenance, including firmware updates, patches, and device configurations.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network issues to minimise downtime and ensure high availability.

  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network health and address performance bottlenecks.

  • Firewall Management: Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls; implement effective security policies.

  • Switching & Routing: Manage Cisco switches and routers, ensuring efficient network segmentation and routing (OSPF, BGP).

  • Collaboration: Work closely with system admins and cybersecurity teams to achieve shared network objectives.

  • Compliance: Ensure all network policies and configurations meet industry standards and security regulations.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • At least 8 years of experience leading complex network and security projects, including architecture and solution design.

  • Professional certifications from major Network and Security OEMs (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point).

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience in WAN/LAN, Cloud Security, ICT governance, and secure enterprise network design.

  • Proficiency in technologies such as:

    • Routing (OSPF, BGP)

    • NAC (Aruba ClearPass)

    • Load Balancers (F5)

    • Firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, SonicWall)

    • Wireless (Cisco WLC, AP)

    • DNAC, QoS, IPSEC encryption

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
