Job summary

The Write Connection Singapore is seeking a dedicated educator for its Flexi-Adjunct Role. You will teach English and writing to primary and secondary students using our ready-to-use curriculum and resources, with the flexibility to choose classes that fit your schedule for the full calendar year.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of teaching experience, hold a bachelor’s degree, and are passionate about student growth.

• Willing to commit to classes for the full academic year.

Responsibilities

• Teach small classes up to 10 students with engaging lessons.

• Provide timely feedback on student work and progress.
• Communicate with parents termly about progress.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach small class sizes of up to 10 students.
• Deliver engaging and enriching English and Writing lessons using our professionally developed curriculum and teaching resources.
• Foster a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages every student to grow with confidence.
• Mark students' work promptly, monitor their academic progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Build rapport with parents and update them termly on their child’s academic and personal progress.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience teaching English and/or writing in a school or learning centre.
• A Degree from a reputable university, preferably in related fields of Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or Communications.
• Passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary school students.
• Willing to develop skills and implement strategies to teach and support students of differing levels and competencies.
• Willing to adopt TWC's ethos and pedagogy.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills to effectively engage all stakeholders.
• Able to commit to classes until the end of the academic year (in December).
• Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and number of classes contracted for.
