Job summary

An educational institution in Singapore is seeking a committed English Teacher (A-Level) to enhance its qualified workforce. Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a committed English TEACHER (A-Level) to complement our qualified workforce of educators.

Location: East (nearest MRT Tampines West DT31)

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills.

Specifically:

– Prepare and conduct lessons according to the course syllabus and scheme of work.
– Deliver lessons and provide the necessary supervision to students as a mentor or form teacher.
– Provide necessary supervision to the students, manage the classroom, and address discipline issues.
– Prepare and mark examination papers and assignments.
– Monitor the performance and progress of each student and provide academic counselling.
– Teach students according to their aptitude (Differentiated Teaching)
– Perform Intervention duties: Identify and discuss students’ academic and pastoral needs with parents/academic team/student relations to find a way to help students.
– Attend team meetings and staff development workshops.
– Support scheduled school holistic activities when directed to do so.
– Oversee and advise the assigned non-academic / Co-curricular activities.
– Enable students to attain projected subject results.
– Collaborate with the team in curriculum development, appraisal system, and project management.
– Perform any other tasks as may be assigned on an ad-hoc basis as needed.
– Achieve assigned key performance indicator target.
