English Teacher

Job Responsibilities

1. Course Design & Teaching

· Develop and deliver structured English lessons tailored to different grade levels, following the curriculum.

· Teach programs such as AEIS, IB, IGCSE, O/A Level, PSLE, and ESL (English as a Second Language) courses.

· Utilize phonics, grammar drills, guided reading, essay writing, and interactive discussions to build students' proficiency.

· Incorporate critical thinking, communication, and creative writing techniques to enhance language skills.

2. Academic Support

· Design personalized learning plans to support students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

· Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.

· Train students in exam strategies, comprehension techniques, and essay structuring for national and international exams.

· Encourage extensive reading and language exposure to develop fluency.

3. Student Management & Parent Communication

· Maintain regular communication with students and parents, providing progress updates and improvement strategies.

· Encourage students to complete assignments and improve independent learning habits.

· Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that boosts students' confidence in English.

4. Teaching Research & Team Collaboration

· Develop and improve lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.

· Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.

· Stay updated with language learning trends, new methodologies, and educational technologies.

5. Additional Responsibilities

· Participate in academic competitions, open classes, reading programs, and school events organized by Trusty Edu.

· Perform other duties as required by the institution.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.

· Teaching certifications (e.g., TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, MOE-registered teacher) are an advantage.

· Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience; experience with international curricula is preferred.

· Strong understanding of PSLE, AEIS, IB, IGCSE, or equivalent exam requirements.

· Expertise in teaching reading comprehension, writing structures, grammar, and oral communication.

· Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).

· Passion for language learning, creativity, and student engagement.
