English Preschool Teacher

Job Responsibilities

• Use effective classroom management skills, coupled with effective disciplinary skills in accordance with the school’s no shout policy.
• Plan and implement programmes for the class according to LeClare's framework of inquiry and Reggio-inspired approaches.
• Stay current with pedagogies and be ready for new and better initiatives.
• Complete digital developmental observation reports and portfolio for each child, paced throughout the year.
• Set up a warm, cosy, yet engaging environment that promotes self-directed learning in accordance with the Reggio Emilia approach.
• Implement routine care of children in a patient and kind manner, creating teachable moments.
• Ensure safety and hygiene of the children through good routine care and the necessary practices.
• Build and maintain a professional yet affable bond with parents, providing regular updates.

Requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T) or ACEY equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in Singapore.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
