Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T) or ECDA-recognised equivalent.
• ECDA L2 certification required or eligible to obtain.
• Experience in preschool/childcare settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate; reflective, inquiry-oriented teaching.
• Passion for creating respectful, engaging, inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate inquiry-based learning and design language-rich experiences that extend thinking and early literacy development.
• Co-plan with co-teachers, document children's learning, and participate in reflective discussions to inform next steps.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment with warm, respectful relationships with children and families; support social-emotional development; maintain a safe, organized space.
• Collaborate with the teaching team on curriculum planning, pedagogical meetings, professional development, and school events to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure classroom practice aligns with the NEL Framework and EYDF while remaining responsive to children's interests and inquiries.
