Qualifications

• ECDA-recognised early childhood qualifications required (e.g. L2, ACEY Chinese, Diploma in ECEC – teaching Chinese).
• Strong command of spoken and written Mandarin Chinese to engage children.
• Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based learning; training provided if needed.
• Good classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• ECDA certification and registration as a qualified Chinese language teacher.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate Chinese language lessons aligned with the Reggio-inspired approach.
• Create immersive Mandarin-speaking environment for daily language use.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through inquiry-based and project learning.
• Observe, document, assess learning and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with co-teachers to design bilingual learning experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, engaging classroom that supports independence and exploration.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development.
