I Can Read is recruiting qualified English Language Teachers who are passionate about and committed to helping young children reach their literacy goals.

We are a leading international literacy-based learning organization with over 20 years of experience in education. Headquartered in Singapore, I Can Read has a diverse and multicultural workforce. Working for I Can Read offers opportunities for personal and professional growth within our network of more than 200 centers and school partners across Asia and the Middle East.

Our students are aged between 2.5 and 12 years old. We provide training and professional development programs to prepare new hires to deliver a world-class pedagogy that inspires a love of reading in young learners.

We are currently hiring teachers for the East regions.

I Can Read Teacher Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualifications, preferably in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood, Studies, English, English Literature, or Linguistics
  • Diploma-level qualifications in relevant fields such as Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Studies, English Language, English Literature, or Linguistics

Additional requirements include:

  • English speaker with a universally recognizable accent and strong command of the English language
  • At least two years of related teaching experience or similar
  • Enthusiasm for teaching young children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with co-teachers and Learning Centre Management
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Willingness to teach on weekends and weekday evenings

I Can Read Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teaching children aged 2.5 to 12 years old
  • Teaching pre-reading skills using the I Can Read system
  • Teaching reading and comprehension skills with the I Can Read system
  • Lesson preparation, resource creation, and participation in weekly meetings
  • Maintaining communication with parents through meetings and updates on student progress
  • Conducting ad hoc replacement and one-to-one lessons
  • Teaching I Can Read affiliated programs
  • Helping children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior
  • Creating a safe and conducive learning environment
  • Collaborating with the assessment team for open house events
  • Performing any other duties as assigned

Working Hours:

Weekdays: 1 pm to 9 pm | Weekends: 9 am to 6:30 pm

Working Schedule:

Wednesday to Sunday
