A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to ensure the operation and maintenance of production and utility systems. The role requires performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical problems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates should hold relevant technical qualifications and have experience in related industries.
Main Purpose of Job
Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of End to end production, Warehouse, Wet Process, Dry Process, Batch Mixing, Packaging, utility systems, facilities to provide uninterrupted utilities supply and engineering services in supporting the manufacturing operations.
Key Outputs
• Perform routine operation, routine planned maintenance, and ad-hoc corrective maintenance on utility systems and facilities.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical issues to identify the root cause of problems.
• Repairing or replacing faulty mechanical components, such as bearings, belts, valves, or pumps.
• Conducting preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Operating and maintaining tools and equipment used in mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints related to mechanical systems.
• Collaborating with engineers and other team members to plan and execute mechanical maintenance projects.
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working with mechanical systems and machinery.
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors/vendors in performing their duties in accordance to procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance, repair and services activities in accordance to procedure.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas.
• Responsible for following safe working procedures and principles introduced at the workplace, not engaging in any unsafe act that may endanger yourself or others working around you, and using, in proper manner, any personal protective equipment, devices, equipments or other means provided to secure your safety, health and welfare while working. You must not tamper or misuse such items provided.
• Execute all duties faithfully and responsibly in accordance to written procedures and to immediately report all observations of GMP non-conformances.
• To take ownership in gaining knowledge and demonstrating the expected Environmental protection, Health and Safety attitude and behavior at the workplace.
• Be knowledgeable with applicable Company Quality Standards, procedures and guidelines. To ensure continuous compliance to GMP in designated areas of responsibilities and to immediately report all observations of GMP non-conformances.
Key Experiences
• GCE Level, Technical qualifications, Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Marine / Mechantronic / Air Conditioning / Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Preferably relevant working experience in the operation and maintenance of Pharmaceutical / Food / Petrochemical / Wafer / Semiconductor industry.
• MOM 1st Class or 2nd Class Steam Boiler Attendant Certificate/Electrician Grade License Electrical Worker Certificate.
• Experience in cGMP, ISO 9001/14001 & OSHA18001environment.
• Willingness to work on rotating shifts.
• Preferably can do Welding and pipe fitting
• Preferably can operate MHE (Fork lift and Scissor Lift)
