Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Technician to assist engineers with Design of Experiments (DOE) processes and continuous improvement on lab equipment. You will help achieve quality and cycle time objectives and support engineering qualification activities.

The role requires good communication, teamwork, and the ability to work with the team to deliver results. Singapore-based position with AMD benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in relevant engineering field with minimum 3 years related working experience.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with root cause analysis and DOE concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and higher level debugging via root cause analysis to resolve test-related issues.
• Document test results and generate timely reports.
• Verify engineering work orders and release to the lab.
• Execute evaluation of equipment upgrades and maintenance per engineering requests.

The Role

To assist engineers in execution of Design of Experiments (DOE) processes, implementing engineering solutions for continuous improvement on lab equipment, to achieve quality and cycle time objectives and meet engineering qualification activity schedules.

The Person

The candidate should be motivated and have good communication skills. He/She is also preferred to be a team player to work with the team to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic and higher technical level of debug via root cause analysis in resolving test related issues / provide input to improve equipment consistency to achieve production goals and objectives.
• Document test results and generate result/report timely.
• Verification of all engineering work order and release of work orders to the lab.
• Execute engineering evaluation of equipment upgrades/enhancements and lab equipment maintenance activities per engineering request/procedure.

Preferred Experience

• Understanding of semiconductor testing.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Academic Credentials

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronics/ Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering (minimum 3 years for Senior Technician and above related working experience). Or
• NITEC in Electrical / Electronics/ Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering with minimum 3 years related working experience.
