Job description

Reporting to GM/MD, Engineering Specialist is primarily in charge of providing technical support to customers and exploring new applications or solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, technical support, maintenance and repair on designated equipment and product such as wafer robot, cobot, vision system, etc.

  • Preparing analysis report and providing after-sales product training and service support

  • Ordering and handling spare parts

  • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated

  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers (internal & external), understanding their needs and providing required assistance

  • Identifying opportunities to develop new applications

  • Any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by immediate superior or management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Preferably 2 years working experience in cleanroom environment or semiconductor industry

  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, vision system, electronic equipment with knowledge of automation, robotics control, programming, etc. Downloading of application software or parameters and using them are skills that will be beneficial in this role.

  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment

  • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances

  • Strong team player who is self-motivated and customer oriented

  • Creative thinking skills and attention to details

  • Able to multi-task activities with priorities and productive in a pressurized environment

  • Able to perform after office hours duties

  • Occasional travel required
