Job summary

Seagate Technology in Singapore is seeking a hands-on mechanical/electrical technician to assemble, align, and integrate sputtering equipment in a high-precision manufacturing environment. You will install vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, and control panels, and perform functional and quality checks during installation.

You will support fault diagnosis, rework, and minor upgrades, collaborating with engineering to improve build reliability.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in equipment assembly or electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with torque wrenches, multimeters, and vacuum gauges.
• Experience in cleanroom environments and with sputter PVD equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering teams on build improvements and reliability enhancements.
• Adhere to safety and cleanroom standards throughout all assembly and support activities.
• Take proactive role and responsibility.
• To lead junior ES to accomplish the task within schedule.

About the role - you will:

About you:

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and electrically/mechanically inclined.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom and in a structured manufacturing environment.
• Open to starting on a normal weekday shift and transitioning to a 12-hour shift (including nights/weekends) as required by operational needs.

Your experience includes:
