Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead and manage multi-discipline engineering activities for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) projects. The EPM will be responsible for ensuring that engineering deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements, while aligning with project objectives and client expectations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in offshore oil & gas projects and proven leadership in managing large engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering execution for FPSO projects from FEED through detailed design to construction support and commissioning.
  • Develop and manage the Engineering Execution Plan (EEP), deliverables list, and project schedule.
  • Interface with clients, classification societies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical and execution requirements.
  • Coordinate all discipline leads (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, naval, safety, etc.) to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
  • Monitor and control engineering progress, budget, manpower planning, and deliverable submission timelines.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the engineering phase of the project.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Lead regular engineering coordination meetings and provide status reports to project leadership.
  • Support change management process including design changes, variations, and technical queries.
  • Promote HSE best practices and ensure engineering design reflects safe operations and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architecture, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in FPSO projects.
  • Proven track record as an Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer, or EPM on large-scale offshore projects.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering design and integration across multiple disciplines.
  • Familiar with relevant codes, standards, and classification rules (ABS, DNV, API, IEC, etc.).
  • Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in engineering and project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, SmartPlant, or Aveva E3D.
  • PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
