Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage engineering team to meet the demands of design engineering and continued product quality, performance delivery and technology
  • Direct, plan and co-ordinate complex project engineering assignments entailing technical specifications and preparation of detailed plans
  • Lead a team of engineers and engineering assistants to undertake detailed engineering and interfacing work
  • Ensure products are of acceptable quality and in accordance to company specifications; investigation of hydraulic product quality issues
  • Handle final approval of engineering drawings and documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure engineering standards are up-to-date in compliance with ISO9001 in process and documentation control
  • Identify design shortcomings and recommend improvements
  • Responsible for engineering department budget, resources, hardware, software, scheduling, priority setting and communication
  • Liaise with production, project, procurement and application / estimating

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering management working directly with project engineering teams dealing with hydraulic parts for offshore equipment and services
  • Those with manufacturing experience with hydraulic products in the offshore industry would be preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge for all the engineering disciplines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational skills and sense of urgency
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills in managing team of engineers and assistants in performing daily engineering tasks
