Job summary

smrt trains ltd. is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers. You will supervise PM, CM and fault attendance across SMRT stations, depots and tunnels, ensuring safety, reliability and adherence to procedures.

You will provide technical guidance, manage fault investigations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold operating and safety standards. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong maintenance and management of IFM equipment across mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support AE and TO for PM, CM and fault attendance in Station/Tunnel/Depot for IFM equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance for fault attendance, troubleshooting and rectification.
  • Plan and execute PM/CM works with accurate scheduling and record-keeping (SAP/Maximo).
  • Perform fault history analysis and report findings to superiors for action.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Oversee works by upgrading contractors/LTA/Developer interfaces and ensure safety compliance.

Job Title: Engineering Maintenance Manager, Integrated Facilities Management

The Engineering Maintenance Manager (EMM) will be responsible for leading a group ofAssistantEngineers and Technical Officers, who are responsible inmaintaining the IFM equipment in thestations, depots and tunnels of SMRT network in compliance with SMRT relevant proceduresand safety equipment.The EMM is required to maintain and upkeep the strong safety standardsinaccordance with The EMM will be responsible for the faultinvestigation and rectification, manpower allocation for ad-hoc activities and liaison with internal
and external stakeholders.To be required to provide innovative recommendationsto support the organisation continuousimprovement plans as well asre-prioritise work activities and address maintenance needs.Involved inthe engagement and management of external contractors to ensure theachievementof operating standards and quality standards.

Responsibilities

The EMM duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • To lead, mentorand support a team of Assistant Engineers (AE) and Technical Officers (TO) tocarry out PM, CM and fault attendance in Station / Tunnel / Depot for IFMequipment (Electrical switchboards, fire alarm systems, ACMV systems,escalators, lifts, infrastructure & facilities).
  • Provide technical guidance for fault attendance, troubleshooting and rectification.
  • To ensure accurate planning and execution of PM/ CM works.
  • To complete the work orders on SAP or Maximo for record purposes and plan for any backlogpreventive/corrective maintenance works.
  • Conduct thoroughfault analysis on IFM equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Track service issues and coordinate prompt corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity.
  • To perform simple fault history analysis and provide the information to his superiors to take appropriate actions accordingly.
  • To ensure all in-house or outsourced maintenance activities are carried out in line with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and proactively mitigate them.
  • To ensure thatthe IFM equipment are properly maintained and keep it in state of good and operational condition.
  • To ensure that the AEs and TOs perform their duties and responsibilities safely andefficiently.
  • To provide technical advice, information and instructions to AEs, TOs and other staffs. To ensure all drawings, diagrams, manuals, PM and CM records are kept current andupdated.
  • To conduct engineering and safety analysis, investigations, and testing.
  • To oversee works carried out by upgrading contractors/ Land Transport Authority (LTA)/ Developerinterface works.
  • To always complyand exercise safety in accordance with SMRT Work Safety Manual To ensure teamcompliance with our QP/ WI / WR in daily activities.
  • To comply withthe Financial Procedures for Purchase Requisitions and Work Services, replacement and condemnation of fixed assets.
  • To undertake anyother tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and management of IFM equipment, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate staff effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to analyse
