Job Description & Requirements

Looking for a person with experience and passion in chemical process and mechanical engineering to that wishes to gain managerial experience.

Function

* The Engineering Lead is responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of chemical processes within the factory.

* Requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, process flow, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

* Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve overall production efficiency.

* Install and maintain mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, evaporators and vacuum systems.

* Develop and implement process control strategies to maintain stable and efficient operations, ensuring consistent product quality.

* Implement maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

* Identify, troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.

* Resolve process deviations, equipment malfunctions, and other issues that may arise during production.

* Leading site operations that includes maintenance of relevant documentations, licenses, certificates etc, for continuity of operations and equipment and machines.

* Ensure that all processes are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.

* Able to lead and maintain documentation management certification for FSSC, Halal, Kosher and relevant requirements.

* Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements

* Degree in Chemical Engineering and relevant more than 8 years’ experience

* Proven experience in chemical processing and mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

* Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, process design, and mechanical equipment design and maintenance.

* Relevant operational or production experience in chemical reactions process, planning & maintenance. Warehouse, order management to logistics, will be an added plus. Experience with downstream production of emulsions and mixes will be advantageous.

* Team player to support the business team and strong attitude towards growth challenges, with high imagination to improve production process efficiency, with a desire to develope a career in engineering management.

* Great team player wanting to move into a managerial challenge would be considered.

* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

* Skilled in computer software applications like Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and willingness to learn in finance related IT systems (Navision) and all aspects to achieve excellence in the role.
