Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING in Singapore seeks a Head of Engineering to lead the full engineering function and own product design, drawing accuracy, and customer technical interface.

You will report to the Managing Director and drive continuous improvement, oversee design drawings, and coordinate with Production, Sales, and Quality teams to ensure on-target delivery and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Science.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing.
• Prior experience leading or managing an engineering team.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor or Pro/E.
• Able to read and interpret machine and fabrication drawings.
• Track record of accountability, customer focus, innovation and delivering measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all Engineering Department activities for the design and manufacture of products and systems.
• Drive product design modifications and continuous improvement of production techniques.
• Collaborate with Management, Production and Sales to assess engineering feasibility and respond to customer demand.
• Maintain and control product specifications and documentation.
• Review and approve all job drawings for accuracy and completeness before release to Production.
• Interface with customers on project status, technical reviews and product evaluation programmes.
• Support Production and Quality teams in resolving technical issues and making disposition decisions.
• Set, monitor and report departmental KPIs with the engineering team.
