About Aprisium

Aprisium is a Singapore-based DeepTech startup committed to environmental sustainability through advanced IoT-enabled, real-time contamination detection and monitoring solutions. Our flagship products, like the Aprisium Continuum Analyser, deliver continuous, autonomous insights to industries such as aquaculture, drinking water, wastewater, and cooling systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Engineering Lead to lead the design, development, manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and process optimization of our state-of-the-art analyzers. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects, and scaling our operations effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with ability to lead a team of engineers. They will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment, streamlining processes, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of analytical technology. This role will report to either the CTO or CEO of APRISIUM.

As a Engineering Lead you will be responsible for the following duties:

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead a cross-functional engineering team (mechanical, electronics, fluidics, software) to deliver high-performance IoT analysers.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Deployment, and Business teams to align engineering with customer and market needs.
• Translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions while ensuring quality and compliance.

Product Development & Manufacturing

• Oversee design, prototyping, and manufacturing to build and deliver Aprisium’s IoT analysers for global deployment.
• Ensure modular, certifiable, and manufacturable designs that meet performance and regulatory standards.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to streamline production and support international scale-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 4-5 years industry experience in design, development, prototyping and manufacturing and testing of IoT hardware involving mechatronics.
• Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against multiple projects date lines.
• Exhibit strong leadership, effective communication, strategic delegation, critical problem-solving, and decisive decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of emerging sensor technology trends, data analytic, deep understanding of engineering principles, industry-specific technologies, and methodologies.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise in mechanical and electronics design, including proficiency in CAD tools and PCB design software.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing and CNC machining.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and DFM/DFT principles.
• Knowledge of compliance and certification processes for industrial products.
