Engineering Graduate Trainee (Mechanical)

Purpose of the Role:

Due to K2 expansion, the APAC technical and delivery team is looking to hire an Engineering Trainee to support our internal design team management and design review work. This person will be working closely with the SG HQ based Project Management team to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager / Design Manager / Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Assist to monitor construction activities closely on a regular basis and ensure the data centre facility is built to group's standard.
• Assist to review design consultant’s work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations in place.
• Assist to maintain K2 internal engineering standard with particular focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Assist Project Manager / Design Manager in works related to project commissioning and final handover activities.
• Assist Project Manager / Design Manager in K2 internal engineering design and development activities.
• Assist to uphold the engineering and operation procedures following K2 standard.

Working environment entails:

Job Requirements:

Skills Set and Qualifications Requirements:

• Fresh Graduate with Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Working experience in building services design and construction project delivery (data centre projects preferred).
• Good knowledge in Electrical HV/LV distribution Engineering with interest in understanding on data centre project and protection study preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with experience in Electrical or Mechanical calculation software, such as Etap, IES, E20.
• Good command of written and spoken English is required. Additional language skills such as Chinese and/or Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia will be preferred.
