Job summary

W Hotels Singapore, part of Marriott International, seeks an experienced Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead all engineering operations for the property. You will oversee maintenance, energy management, safety, and regulatory compliance while guiding budget planning and capital projects.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and the ability to manage external contractors and ensure guest comfort and property safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of related maintenance/engineering experience, plus HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing technical training.
• Alternative: 2-year degree in Building/Construction/Engineering with 1 year related experience and HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
• Manages heat, light and power and recommends energy-conserving methods for economical facility operations.
• Develops service contract specifications and administers contracts for building needs.
• Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
• Oversees maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, vehicles and recreational facilities.
• Develops long-term preventive maintenance plans and asset protection strategies.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
