Job description

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Engineering Assistant is responsible for performing routine maintenance practices, resource management, and tools and process controls to ensure trouble-free operation. They execute maintenance and servicing of various systems, including equipment control systems and automation systems of technical processes. The role involves liaising with plant personnel on test results, suggesting corrective and preventive actions where necessary.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Perform weekly/monthly service activities according to the maintenance schedule for machines, equipment, facilities, and breakdown maintenance of the M&E Systems.
  2. Maintain the mechanical and electrical integrity of new installations and existing systems.
  3. Assist in conducting analysis and process improvement studies.
  4. Assist in troubleshooting electrical devices and plant equipment.
  5. Highlight any follow-up actions from the maintenance checklist.
  6. Provide support to ensure internal and external audit requirements are met.
  7. Strictly adhere to GMP, Food Safety, and Workplace Safety policies. Comply with environmental operational control work instructions. Ensure good housekeeping, hygienic, and safe work practices in work areas.
  8. Supervise yearly equipment calibration.
  9. Undertake any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience. Other minimum qualifications may apply.
  • Forklift and/or Scissor License preferred.
