Job Scope
Provide support to production in device conversion, recipe creation, wafer probing and failure analysis, lot hold disposition, and in-process control executions in his area of responsibility.
Maintain and support day to day manufacturing activities through real-time problem analysis.
Ensure smooth process flow with high quality, high yield, low cost by working with cross functional teams to achieve the overall committed targets.
Support process improvement projects as assigned on process performance, product quality, operation efficiency, cost saving and yield.
Reports into Engineering technically; reports into Manufacturing Lead functionally in his shift.
Support Department and Company objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform device conversion and recipe creation in his area of responsibility.
- Perform inspection/measurement as part of in-process controls.
- Perform comprehensive wafer probing and failure analysis and report failure analyses timely.
- Analyze lots on hold and dispose lots according to defect catalog and engineering guidelines.
- Monitor & analyse SPC charts, including troubleshooting cases of non-conformance. Analyze & identify mode for equipment failure and report findings.
- Participate in regular review of FMEA, OCAP, Process control, Risk Assessment and SIPOC on all critical processes to ensure a robust process.
- Work on assignments that are of high level of complexities and technical challenges.
- Fan out developed knowledge of the job skills and procedures across all similar processes to improve performance and standardization.
- Guide and train junior technicians to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks.
- Initiate and contribute in process and quality improvement projects.
- Work under minimum supervision and normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments.
- Provide proper handover and shift pass down.
- Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certificate.
- 5 years of relevant technical experience in semiconductor process technology.
- Experienced with computer systems and proficient with software applications such as MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Work under minimum supervision.
- Acquire good process knowledge and skills, and able to achieve consistent performance on device conversion, recipe creation, wafer failure analysis and lot hold disposition.
- Ability on the use of metrology tools for measuring/inspecting critical aspects of work in process as part of in-process controls.
- Ability to analyze difficult problem and apply systematic problem-solving skills.
- Guide junior technicians on device conversion, recipe creation and lot hold disposition.
- Able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Possess good communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of people.
