A leading company in the drilling industry is looking for a Manufacturing Support Specialist to assist in the production of ceramic parts. The role includes using CAD software for 3D printing, operating CNC machines, and performing quality checks. Ideal candidates are engineering diploma holders with a hands-on approach and a keen interest in learning new skills.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge on materials, physics and chemistry needed.
  • Experience in manufacturing/CNC machining/laboratories is an advantage.

Job description

This main role of this position is to support the manufacturing of ceramic parts. The candidate will participate in every step of the manufacturing process and ensure the production plan & quality are met. Detailed training will be provided.


Role and responsibilities:

  • Support daily production of ceramics parts.
  • Use of CAD Software to prepare files for 3D printing, setting up 3D printer, cleaning the parts and operation of furnaces.
  • Program tool path and operate CNC machine to do milling on ceramic parts.
  • Perform other post processes including sanding, tumbling polishing and grinding.
  • Perform QC checks on ceramic parts and prepare measurement report.
  • Fill up production log forms and record down production parameters for each job.
  • Implement and maintain 5S in the workplace.
  • Assist in drafting or updating SOP documents or other quality documents.
  • Assist in regular machine maintenance.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in engineering. Basic knowledge on materials, physics and chemistry are needed.
  • Working experience in manufacturing/ CNC machining/ laboratories is an advantage.
  • Experience with one CAD/CAM software is an advantage
  • Enjoy hands-on working environment
  • Self-discipline and able to work independently.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills.
