Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is hiring an Engineering Assistant I to support line maintenance and process improvement on the production floor in Singapore. You will perform changes, troubleshoot issues, and assist in NPI activities to ensure efficient, reliable manufacturing.

The role requires a diploma or Nitec in engineering, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to work hands-on with PCBA equipment and tooling. Prior maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical and pneumatic.
• Knowledge of PCBA equipment and process knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out product changeover in a timely manner according to schedule and product process specification.
• Take necessary action to improve line efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot and rectify process problems such as soldering quality issues with analysis or root cause.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment problems in order to prevent the equipment from breakdown during production run.
• Carry out improvement and modification on hand tools, jigs and fixtures used on the production line.
• Carry out feeder maintenance and repair work.
• Perform ESD verification on work benches and equipment.
• Support project work for line improvement to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Support NPI activities; pick & place program editing, perform line balancing and UPH improvement to production line.
• Carry out preventive maintenance production equipment, production tools and fixtures.
• Support Wave soldering machine, tasks similar to SMT.
• Support Plant Facility as and when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
