Position Summary

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing ultrasound devices and system components (i.e., PCBA, etc). You will work with a cross-functional team to identify root causes, perform detailed electronics repair, and maintain full compliance with medical device quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair ultrasound medical equipment (i.e., PCBAs, motherboards, etc - at both system and component levels)
  • Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation with high accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, manage service expectations, and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Perform workshop maintenance tasks and ensure adherence to 5S and GDPMDS compliance standards in all repair areas.
  • Carry out other tasks and ad-hoc assignments as delegated by supervisors to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably 2 years of experience in the EMS industry, hands-on experience with PCBA repair is a strong advantage
  • Solid understanding of basic circuit principles and electronic component characteristics
  • Proficient in operating repair tools such as BGA rework stations, soldering irons, hot air guns, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask
  • Steady hands and keen eyes to handle delicate components
  • Require critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good with Microsoft Office
  • Polytechnic graduates / diploma holders / or bachelor's degree holders in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Biomedical Engineering / Computer Engineering
