Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a process engineer to identify and resolve manufacturing and equipment-related issues in the semiconductor ecosystem at our Singapore site. You will drive process optimization, qualify new equipment, and contribute to yield and cost improvements across pilot to full-scale production.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with SPC/DOE/RCA. AI literacy and knowledge of MES are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and RCA is advantageous.
• Ability to apply AI literacy to research, analysis, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and resolve process and equipment problems.
• Coordinate and optimize process, equipment and materials initiatives and implement changes at the process step.
• Lead / support New Equipment Qualification for new technology development and production ramp.
• Lead / participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified for new product introduction.
• Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC.
• Manage / audit material suppliers to meet quality, cost and risk objectives.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications; review processing methods across pilot to full-scale manufacturing.
• Integrate AI-enabled tools and insights to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Job Summary

Main Responsibilities:

• Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Participate in design requirement review with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determineappropriate limitsand variables for process or material specifications.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Preferred skills or experience

• Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and automation tools
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)

Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiment, Engineering Statistical data analysis would be advantageous.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
