Job summary

Micron Technology Singapore is seeking an Operations Modelling Engineer to develop and maintain planning models for production capacities, facilities and fab metrics up to three years ahead. You will collaborate with stakeholders on Business Plans and Scenario studies to optimize capacity and asset utilization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong analytical skills, and programming experience in Python/SQL.

As an Operations Modelling Engineer at Micron Semiconductor Operation Asia Pte Ltd, you will apply industrial engineering concept to develop and mantain planning model for production equipment capacities, facilities system capacities, production material flow, and other fab metrics for medium to long term time horizon (up to next 3 years). You will be responsible to ensure efficient management of fab metrics through scenarios comparison and optimization, engaged in constant communication with the various stakeholders for Business Plans and Scenario studies

Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate capacity/space models through Industrial Engineering concepts to enable accurate assessment of production loading/output needs
• Develop models for non-equipment related capability to meet the Fab output requirements.
• Managing complex projects across several different departments and sites, working pro-actively with other departments to identify areas of improvement and actions.
• Coordinating efforts of the site industrial engineering teams to continuously improve production metrics and optimize use of capital expenditure/capex
• Understand the impact to the metrics driven by output changes through scenario analysis
• Provide inputs and support network optimization and long-term strategy discussions.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
• Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
• Good in written communication and presentation skills
• Highly motivated to work in a dynamic environment, with good integrity and character
• Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically in meeting deadlines without compromising on quality
• Proficient in programming skill (Python/SQL) and capability in leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools (Copilot/Claude/Gemini) will be an added advantage
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
