Job summary

Job description

Job Summary

Reliability Engineer – NAND Cell Reliability at Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore.The role focuses on electrical characterization of NAND cell arrays and test structures to identify and mitigate reliability issues, while coordinating high-volume electrical experiments and data analysis.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Risk assessment of NAND cell reliability, identifying process/trim/test strategies to meet JEDEC and internal qualification requirements.
  • Design experiments to identify and segment limiting reliability mechanisms affecting NAND quality.
  • Develop and execute high-volume wafer and component level electrical experiments, performing statistical data analysis to validate solutions.
  • Provide ongoing status updates and feedback to process development and product engineering teams regarding reliability progress and roadmap.
  • Contribute to forward-looking technology path‑finding for next-generation NAND, including risk assessment, capability projections, and design features needed to meet quality specifications.
Requirements
  • PhD/Masters in Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics, Materials Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with NAND device structures, operations and algorithms.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor and insulator materials, device physics, and solid‑state physics.
  • Deep understanding of physics‑based modeling of non‑volatile memory and semiconductor device failure mechanisms and reliability analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and numerical computing software such as Matlab, Octave, and JMP.
  • Programming skills in scripting languages including C, C++, Matlab, and Perl.
  • Familiarity with Big Data concepts and database queries.
  • Knowledge of JEDEC standards.
