Engineer, Maintenance (System/Hardware)
Job Purpose
You will be responsible to ensure the operational readiness, performance, and continuous improvement of simulation systems through maintenance, fault resolution, and system upgrades. This will involves cross-functional collaboration, client support, and participation in technical projects and business development activities to enhance simulator integration and effectiveness within the training environment
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, support and modification of simulators, including computers and peripherals, assigned under your care
- Fault diagnosis and rectification independently
- Ensure the availability and operational readiness of the simulators
- Review simulation systems to design and develop updates to positively impact the performance and accuracy of the simulators
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of the simulators into the training environment
- Competent and service-oriented contact person for our clientele
- Participate in projects e.g., providing system hardware design, supporting system development, supporting project equipment procurement activities, providing maintenance plan and obsolescence management strategy, etc.,
- Support Business development pre-sales activities, marketing events and roadshows
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Experience in electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering, and IT; mechatronics preferred
- Experience in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex systems
- Familiarity with maintenance of virtual simulators and immersive technologies (AR, VR, MR, XR)
- Exposure to PLCs, microcontrollers, and IoT systems
- Willingness to travel on short notice and work overtime or shifts when required
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Knowledge of programming languages: C#, C++, C
- Familiarity with operating systems: Unix/Linux, Windows, Android
- Understanding of computer networking
- Experience with system integration and hardware/software troubleshooting

- Good written and spoken English communication skills
