Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the Livestock Support Systems (LSS) department, ensuring high water quality and clarity standards for the well-being of aquatic life and guest enjoyment. The role involves leading by example, training team members, and collaborating with fabricators, engineers, and other departments to optimize water system performance. Responsibilities include adhering to operational schedules, maintaining data logs, and complying with SOPs and safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily operations of the LSS department.
  2. Report daily operations to the Sr. Manager, Manager, and Assistant Managers of LSS Operations.
  3. Ensure high water quality standards for the health of aquatic life.
  4. Maintain high water clarity standards for exhibit enjoyment.
  5. Lead by example and train team members in all aspects of LSS functions, operations, and maintenance.
  6. Understand biological systems and their operation.
  7. Collaborate with fabricators, tradesmen, and engineers to achieve water quality and clarity outcomes.
  8. Coordinate with other Business Units, engineering, and suppliers to enhance LSS operations.
  9. Follow operational schedules for routine tasks like backwashes, water changes, filter replacements, and cleaning.
  10. Maintain operational data logs for all water systems.
  11. Comply with SOPs and safety standards.
  12. Contribute to safety practices in the LSS operation.
Job Requirements
  • GCE 'O' Level, NITEC in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating large-scale aquatic life support and filtration systems.
  • AALSO Life Support Operator Level I certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • High standards of internal customer service, team communication, and service passion.
  • Ability to engage guests and staff positively and professionally.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Exceed international standards for similar facilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of saltwater chemistry, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical skills preferred.
