A leading company is seeking a Senior Engineer (Automation & IT) to oversee automation systems, ensure compliance, and manage maintenance activities. Senior Engineer (Automation & IT)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Custodianship & Technical Stewardship
Act as the custodian and technical steward for all automation-related systems, ensuring compliance, reliability, and optimal performance.
2. Documentation & Compliance
Lead the drafting, review, and approval of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Practices (WPs), and other quality-related documentation associated with automation systems.
3. System Maintenance & Oversight
Lead corrective and preventive maintenance activities (CMs and PMs) for automation systems, functional-level IT, and AV infrastructure.
Oversee systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), fire alarm systems, security systems, and supporting IT and AV platforms.
4. Vendor & Contract Management
Ensure the execution of maintenance and service contracts in alignment with technical and business requirements.
Establish and maintain regular performance review checkpoints with external contractors to drive continuous improvement.
5. Shutdown & Outage Support
Provide critical support during maintenance shutdowns to ensure the safe and efficient execution of related activities.
6. Regulatory Compliance
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for automation and functional IT systems during regulatory inspections and audits.
7. Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) improvement projects, driving innovation and system enhancements.
8. Resource Planning
Participate in human and financial resource planning to ensure alignment with operational and strategic goals.
9. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Champion and support the implementation of EHS best practices across all areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer or Electrical)
Good communication and active listening skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Organized and able to manage multiple task
Basic knowledge of logic control, Microsoft Excel, and automation protocols (e.g., SQL, Modbus, Profibus, OPC etc.)
Exposure to cGMP facility operation is a bonus
