Environmental Conditions

Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Join our outstanding team in Singapore as a motivated Manufacturing Engineer II. Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization and Improvement

  1. Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  2. Implement process control techniques and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
  3. Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Collaborate with Equipment Engineers to develop and complete qualification plans outlining steps and criteria for equipment testing and validation.
  5. Conduct trials and experiments to test and refine process parameters.
  6. Gather and evaluate data from equipment trials to confirm performance against important metrics.
  7. Prepare detailed reports summarizing evaluation and qualification processes.

Production Support

  1. Fix and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
  2. Ensure all manufacturing processes align with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with quality assurance to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Work closely with R&D and product development teams to transition new products from development to production.
  2. Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products.
  3. Conduct equipment and process validation activities to ensure readiness for production.

Collaboration and Communication

  1. Collaborate with teams from different functions to ensure alignment on process requirements and goals.
  2. Communicate effectively with collaborators at all levels to report on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  3. Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  2. Demonstrated ability in process engineering, preferably in high-tech or advanced manufacturing environments.
  3. Proven proficiency in 7QC tools, process development, optimization, and addressing issues.
  4. Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and other quality improvement tools.
  5. Familiarity with cleanroom environments and relevant safety protocols.
  6. Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficiency in using process engineering tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, FMEA, SPC, DOE).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  2. Experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
  3. Solid understanding of semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes.
  4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
  5. Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
