Job summary

Murata is seeking an AMHS maintenance engineer to join the Clean Factory Automation team in Singapore. The role focuses on installing, testing, and maintaining our cleanroom automated material handling systems, with most hours spent on-site at project locations.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with customers and subcontractors to keep schedules and quality on track.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in mechanical/electrical engineering-intensive roles.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and calibrate AMHS equipment in the initial phase of a project.
• Carry out regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance after the project's initial phase.
• Perform troubleshooting and recovery tasks to minimize downtime.
• Liaise with customers to arrange schedules for jobs and update progress.
• Supervise work by sub-contractors for installation and modifications.
• Draft service and maintenance reports for customers and internal quality control.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new and junior members when required.

The role will be part of the Clean Factory Automation engineering team, primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our cleanroom automated material handling systems (AMHS). The role will report to the project site for most of their working hours.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and calibrate our AMHS equipment in the initial phase of a project
• Carry out regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance after the project's initial phase
• Perform troubleshooting and recovery tasks to minimise the downtime of our AMHS
• Liaise with customers to arrange schedules for jobs and update customers on work progress
• Supervise work done by sub-contractors for installation and mechanical modifications
• Draft service and maintenance reports for submission to customers and internal quality control.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new and junior members when required.

Requirements:

• Polytechnic Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related field.
• At least 2 years of good experience in mechanical/electrical engineering-intensive roles.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
• A good team player with a positive work attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Ability to grasp the current work situation and plan to keep pace with the schedule.
• Experience in cleanrooms or AMHS equipment is a huge plus.
