Job summary

A leading healthcare institution is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of development projects. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Campus Master plan, manage risks, and ensure timely project completion within budget. This role requires a degree in engineering and relevant experience in facility development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in project or construction management.
  • Experience in major facility development advantageous.

Job description

You will assist in facilitating the planning, design and completion of a new development. You will work closely with the consultant team, contractors, government agencies and department units to ensure that project developments are aligned to the Campus Master plan and are completed within the given timeframe and kept within approved budget.

The Job

Your roles will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Identifying, managing and mitigating of risks and impacts of construction on existing services appropriately and timely

  • Providing facility, utility and engineering specifications to meet the needs of development and support operations facilities, including preparation of entire tender documents, raising of requisition documents, write approval papers

  • Facilitating in full commissioning exercises such as working with user groups to develop, infrastructural items, facilities and M&E equipment lists, from preparing technical specifications of items, calling of tenders, tender procurement and management, award, project supervision, scheduling delivery, installation and commissioning of items to the managing of defect identifications. Monitoring of defects, and overseeing rectifications during defects liability periods

  • Ensuring all permits, licenses, warranties, Bankers Guarantees, as-built drawings and records are properly documented and procured

  • Any other ad-hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualificationswith minimum 4 years relevant experience

  • Experience in planning the development of major facilities will be advantageous
