Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is expanding its Fab Operations and seeking Equipment Engineers to plan and implement preventive maintenance programs, monitor equipment indices and drive cross-functional optimization across the organization.

You will collaborate with process and manufacturing engineers to achieve module objectives, manage spare parts logistics, and control maintenance costs while upholding quality and 6S standards in Fab, SubFab and office areas.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Chemical/Microelectronics or Materials Science).
• 4+ years of relevant process engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
• Strong SPC knowledge in high-volume production environments.
• Knowledge of MES and process engineering software systems.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain and improve indices: Quality, Uptime and Cost.
• Sustain equipment KPI and drive continuous improvements.
• Monitor and control equipment performance; optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with process and manufacturing engineers to meet module objectives.
• Manage logistics for parts to prevent uptime losses during failures.
• Manage maintenance expenditure without compromising quality output.
• Continuously improve equipment KPI in quality, uptime and cost.
• Plan and implement effective Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Coach and mentor subordinates; uphold 6S in Fab, SubFab and Office areas.
• Document corrective actions and best-known methods for ROI and learning.
• Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and maintenance cost.

Introduction

We are expanding our Fab Operations and are looking for Equipment Engineers, In this role you will plan and implement effective preventive maintenance programs, monitor and control equipment performance indices and involve in various continuous improvement programs to drive optimization efforts across the organization.

Module : Photo Lithography

• To uphold the equipment key indices as per module requirement
• To continuously improve the equipment performance through resolution of chronic and sporadic issues
• To ensure that the equipment knowledge is maintained and archived
• To uphold 6S

Your Job

• To own, maintain and improve the following indices: Quality, Uptime and Cost
• Sustain equipment KPI and make continuous improvements to enhance the performance
• Monitor and control equipment performance indices. Optimize PM procedures to make it more effective and efficient
• Coordinate with both process and manufacturing Engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives
• Manage the logistics for parts so as to prevent prolonged uptime losses in the case of equipment failure
• Manage the expenditure allocated for equipment maintenance without compromising on quality output
• Continuous improvement of equipment KPI in terms of quality, uptime and costs
• Plan and implement effective Preventive Maintenance program on equipments
• Coach and Mentor subordinates to ensure that skill level and knowledge are up to date, and continuously give feedback on their work performance - Uphold 6S in Fab, SubFab and Office area
• Document Corrective Action and Best Known Methods, and Fan it out to all for maximum ROI and learning
• Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and cost of maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Degree/Master in Engineering Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Chemical / Microelectronics, Sciences (Physics / Chemistry) and Material Science
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in process engineering, preferably in a semiconductor industry
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
• Strong SPC knowledge (Statistical Process Control) - Experienced in high volume production environment
• Knowledge of process engineering software systems and MES system( Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Multiple open positions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in foundry or similar industry background will be an added advantage
• Analytical and math skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous, Fast learner and able to work in diverse work environment
