Job summary

Enggsol Pte Ltd seeks a Electrical / Electronics Engineer to join its marine integration team. You will prepare Technical Specification, GAP and SEL, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design compliance.

The role includes 2D/3D equipment modelling, involvement in harbour/sea trials, and timely issue of design documents while maintaining quality control.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in Marine or Integration work advantageous.
  • Able to use AutoCAD for equipment modelling.
  • Keen interest in project management and coordination for integration projects.
  • Able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Technical Specification, General Arrangement Plan (GAP) and Ship Equipment List (SEL).
  • Provide specialist technical assessment and analysis to in-house and external parties.
  • Participate in tests and trials including overseas FAT.
  • Plan and ensure work for area of specialization is carried out as per schedule.
  • Follow up and resolve design issues to support the schedule.
  • Check drawings for conformance to specs, installation documents, and standards.
  • Model equipment in 2D/3D in the designated room/location.
  • Update Department head on progress and issues.
  • Ensure quality control in design/drawing process.
  • Participate in Harbour and Sea acceptance trials.
  • On-site checks and resolve issues with stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with standards and technologies relevant to design activities.

Job description

  • To prepare the Technical Specification, General Arrangement Plan (GAP) and Ship Equipment List (SEL)
  • To provide specialist technical assessment and analysis other in-house departments and external parties
  • To participate in tests and trials; including oversea FAT
  • To plan and ensure that the work for his area of specialization is carried out as per schedule
  • To follow up and resolve all the design issues on all design documents promptly and timely to support the schedule
  • To check working drawings and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specification, installation control documents, Classification and Statutory Rules/Regulations
  • To check and ensure equipment specification, technical information, functional de ion document, installation control document and interface design specification are correct and properly maintained, disseminate and use for the preparation of design work activities
  • To update Department head on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on projects under his charge
  • To ensure the quality control in the design / drawing process
  • To model equipment in 2D/3D in the respective room/location
  • To participate/conduct in Harbour and Sea acceptance trials
  • To ensure timely issue of drawings and documents
  • To perform on site checking and to resolve issues at site with various stakeholders
  • To keep abreast with current technological developments and products, Classification rules, military and industrial standards and other standards relevant to design activities
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
