Job summary

PaxOcean Singapore is seeking an Engineering Project Electrical Section Lead to drive overall electrical engineering activities for marine projects. You will provide technical guidance to draftsmen and engineers, ensuring tasks meet timelines and accuracy while supporting site issues.

The role requires at least 8 years in electrical newbuilding design in marine/offshore, strong knowledge of power, automation and navigation systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD, AVEVA and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Electrical newbuilding design in the Marine/Offshore industry.
• Strong knowledge of Power system/Automation system/Navigation system.
• Familiar with Rules and Regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, AVEVA and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities for the project as Engineering Project Electrical Section Lead.
• Provide technical guidance to draftsmen and engineers for competency development.
• Develop equipment technical specifications per Owner’s contract requirements and authorities.
• Prepare engineering drawings: single line diagrams, equipment layouts, termination drawings.
• Plan cable routing and build 3D models; prepare cable cutting lists.
• Provide technical support for site arising technical issues.
• Assist Section Project Lead in day-to-day operations.
• Review and advise the project’s design mode & standard.
• Familiar with Class regulation/rules, product, standard.
• Report the project's daily discipline (Man-hour/Schedule etc.).
• Coordinate with Shipyard/Consultant/Vendor.
• Project Handling- New building project, Repair, Upgrading, Conversion project.

Job Summary

• To provide technical guidance to fellow Draftsman, Senior/ Assistant Engineer for competencies development
• To complete assigned tasks within allocated timeline with high degree of accuracy.
• Technical support for site technical issue

Key Responsibilities

• Familiar with the Marine and offshore engineering process.
• Review and develop the Equipment Technical Specification based on Owner’s Contractual Requirement, Classification bodies, and all relevant authorities.
• Prepare the engineering drawings of each system( Single line diagram/ equipment layout/ termination drawing.
• Plan the cable routing and build the 3D modeling
• Prepare the Cable cutting List/ Schedule.
• Provide technical support for site arises technical issue.
• Assist Section Project Lead in day to day operations.
• Review and advise the project’s design mode & standard.
