Job Brief:

We are seeking a Junior Engineer, DevSecOps & Database Engineer who is eager to build a strong foundation across multiple domains including database administration, DevOps automation, container orchestration, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.

This role is ideal for a junior professional or fresh graduate with hands-on curiosity and a passion for backend systems. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain real-world exposure to a diverse and modern tech stack, supporting mission-critical operations while developing the skills needed to thrive in infrastructure and platform engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management and maintenance of enterprise databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB

• Support CI/CD pipelines and toolchains including Jenkins, TeamCity, Nexus Repository, and Sonatype

• Participate in container platform operations using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes

• Help perform VM and OS administration tasks such as provisioning, patching, upgrades, and security hardening

• Contribute to firewall rule analysis/management, vulnerability assessments, and related security tasks

• Assist with infrastructure automation and scripting efforts

• Troubleshoot system and deployment issues under the guidance of senior engineers

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting steps

• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

Role Requirements:

· Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

· Demonstrated interest or exposure to system administration, DevOps, or backend infrastructure (through academic, internship, or personal projects)

· Basic proficiency with Linux OS and familiarity with the command line

· Understanding of core IT concepts in databases, networking, scripting, or containers

· Strong problem-solving mindset, curiosity to learn, and the ability to follow through on tasks

· Willingness to learn from senior team members and take initiative in unfamiliar areas

Preferred (Good to Have):

· Exposure to version control (e.g., Git), scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), or SQL

· Experience with virtualization or container tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

· Familiarity with DevOps concepts such as CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code

· Relevant certifications or online coursework (e.g., Linux+, Docker, Kubernetes)

· Personal or school projects involving deployment, automation, or systems setup
