As a Engineer (Biomedical Engineering), you will be responsible for the following duties:
Ensuring the efficient operations, maintenance and safety compliance of medical equipment within the healthcare facility.
Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and internal departments, to facilitate the procurement, evaluation, commissioning and maintenance of medical equipment.
Provides technical expertise, supervises maintenance activities, investigates equipment faults and assists in implementing corrective measures to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Evaluate submissions for ITQ/ RFP (Invitation to Quote / Request for Proposal), providing recommendations based on technical compliance and suitability for the healthcare environment.
Review and enhance existing programs to minimize operational disruptions and maintainthe safety and functionality of medical equipment.
Provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of medical equipment, including commissioning, operation, preventive maintenance and decommissioning.
Supervise specialist vendors and contracted personnel to ensure the quality of maintenance work and adherence to established standards.
Investigate equipment faults, complaints and safety hazards, collaborating with the BME / Facilities Management Head to develop and implement action plans for resolution.
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to relevant standards, regulations and quality initiatives endorsed by the hospital and department.
Assist the BME Head in coordinating interdisciplinary efforts for medical equipment projects, involving IT, consultants, vendors, contractors and regulatory authorities.
Collaborate closely with BME team to support procurement activities and contribute to related projects, promoting operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by BME Head, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to departmental objectives.
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic or equivalent.
