A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Manager for coldroom and related M&E projects. This role involves overseeing project execution from design to completion, ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards while managing stakeholder relationships and project budgets. Ideal candidates should possess a strong background in engineering and project management within the refrigeration industry.
Responsibilities:
1 Plan, execute, and manage coldroom and related M&E projects from design to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
2 Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of coldroom systems, including refrigeration units, insulated panels, and HVAC.
3 Review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
4 Conduct site assessments and inspections, monitor work progress, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed.
5 Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery aligned with project milestones.
6 Lead and manage site meetings, prepare progress reports, and provide updates to management and stakeholders regularly.
7 Resolve technical and operational issues encountered during installation and commissioning, providing timely solutions and adjustments.
8 Ensure all works are executed in compliance with local building codes, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
9 Support testing and commissioning of coldroom systems and facilitate smooth handover to clients with proper documentation.
10 Maintain accurate project records, including change orders, schedules, risk assessments, inspection reports, and post-project evaluations.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related Engineering field
Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably in coldroom or industrial refrigeration projects
Strong technical knowledge in coldroom construction, HVAC, and M&E systems
Good communication and leadership skills to manage stakeholders and teams
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Familiar with local codes and safety regulations
Possess a valid Class 3 license is an advantage
