Engineer/Assistant Engineer

About the role

Azetek Engineering, a well-established engineering firm in the Central Region, is seeking an Engineer or Assistant Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in our offices in the Central Region. You will play a crucial role in supporting our electrical and electronic engineering projects, contributing to the delivery of innovative solutions for our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical switchboards, transformers, motors, generators

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of engineering projects

• Conduct technical analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues

• Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate project progress and findings

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes

• Provide support and mentorship to more junior members of the engineering team

What we're looking for

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma/ITE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in an engineering or technical role, preferably in the electrical engineering industry

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop effective solutions

• Proficient in the use of engineering software, tools, and equipment, such as CAD, simulation software, and measuring instruments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Desire to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
