Job summary

STARCHAMPS EDUCATION CENTRE is seeking passionate part‑time Math teachers for Primary and Secondary levels in Singapore. Materials and training are provided, with back-to-back classes and a maximum of 8 students per class.

Applicants should have relevant classroom teaching experience and specify subjects and levels taught in the resume. Positions offer attractive hourly rates from $35/hr to $60/hr, with commencement ASAP.

Qualifications

• A Degree in any discipline (Math or Education-related preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of Math and/or Science teaching experience.
• Must be an engaging teacher who can capture students’ attention and make learning enjoyable.
• Must have a keen eye for observing students, understanding their learning needs, and adapting lessons accordingly.
• Passionate about helping every child learn with confidence.
• Comfortable with the use of technology in class (e.g. Laptop, Projector, tablets).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Math lessons in accordance with StarChamps’ curriculum for Primary and Secondary students.
• Be observant and responsive to each student’s learning pace and understanding.
• Use diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure active participation.
• Mark students’ work and provide additional support to weaker learners.
• Handle classroom administration and maintain student records.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with students and parents.
• Provide term progress reports and updates on students’ performance and progress.
• Create and maintain a safe, conducive, and positive learning environment.
