Job summary

National University of Singapore's Energy Studies Institute seeks researchers to join a multi-disciplinary team working on energy policy issues relevant to Singapore and the region.

You will conduct technical and policy reviews, support decarbonization analysis, engage with stakeholders, and help organise seminars and workshops under the guidance of Heads of Division and Principal Investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in engineering, energy systems modelling, sustainability, economics, management science or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of energy and environmental issues, decarbonisation strategies, and energy security.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, Stata.
• Research experience in life cycle assessment, emissions accounting, energy systems modelling preferred.
• Experience in energy markets, techno-economic analysis or power sector modelling is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and policy reviews of the global energy and decarbonization landscape through desk research.
• Support Research Fellows in decarbonization analysis, including energy technology assessment and system optimization.
• Participate in engagements with stakeholders.
• Perform administrative duties, including organising seminars, workshops, and conferences, and other responsibilities as assigned.
