Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Energy Journalist/Editor based in Singapore with a proven track record in energy and commodity reporting. The role focuses on breaking news, insights, and data-driven storytelling across OPEC, IEA, supply/demand, and major trading companies, beginning with markets West of Suez.

You will write, research, analyze data, and produce multimedia content including short-form reels, while collaborating closely with editors and price reporters to weave energy

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of journalism experience in a newsroom.
• Strong portfolio of breaking energy news and insights, including exclusives.
• Proficient in writing, editing, data analysis and source development.

Responsibilities

• Write and research breaking energy news and insights, focusing on trading, policy and geopolitics.
• Source and work with diverse data sets and report-based information.
• Record short-form reels explaining key energy themes and stories.
• Collaborate with editors, writers and price reporters to integrate Dow Jones energy benchmarks into news reports.
