Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative analysis of electricity market, including market dynamics, regulation, etc with a focus on APAC region.
• Support policy and regulatory research related to Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), cross-border electricity trade and REC trading framework, and electricity imports.
• Support the policy and market monitoring on 24/7 Carbon Free Energy (CFE) and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
• Assist in studies related to data centres’ energy sourcing strategies and their role in driving new market mechanisms.
• Support EDF Lab in building collaborations with potential clients interested in 24/7 CFE and CBAM topics.
• Contribute to the development of research briefs, internal reports, and policy notes.
• Support EDF Lab in developing academic collaborations with local universities and think tanks on energy market and policy topics.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisors

Job description

Mission Overview

You will contribute to EDF Lab Singapore’s research in electricity markets, energy policy, and carbon-free energy. The internship will focus on market research, regulatory analysis, and qualitative research to support projects such as 24/24 Carbon-Free Energy and ASEAN electricity cooperation.
